Jewish United Kingdom

There has been a Jewish community in the United Kingdom for nearly a 1,000 years and the community has a rich history, heritage and physical presence across the country, in city, town and countryside. British Jewish heritage has a distinctive and integrated British character, and has enjoyed comparative peace over several centuries.

The UK Jewish Heritage Route is the creation of JTrails and introduces the physical and cultural heritage of British Jews, with religious buildings and facilities, Jewish homes and communities, places of work, industry and technology, castles and fortifications, museums, libraries, sites of important historical events and key historical personalities - some in important tourist destinations, others in unexpected locations.
